Youth Education

YOUTH EDUCATION
Our Youth Education programs appeal to students’ multiple intelligences and the unique needs of each age category.

All youth Sunday School classes meet at 9am from September – July with breaks for worship and service.

  • 5th & 6th graders participate in Route 56, a hands-on, active Sunday school program which explores the Bible and faith through a curriculum designed by a team of UMCG educators.
  • 7th & 8th graders participate in PraXis Sunday school/confirmation program which prepares students to claim for themselves the vows made at their baptism through fellowship, study, service, and worship.
  • 9th-12th graders participate in Senior High Sunday School which focuses on Kingdom living in a secular world.

More Youth Opportunities:

Youth & Theology is a student-led, off-site monthly meeting for middle school and high school-aged students to discuss theological questions.

Youth Meets keep the kids connected beyond Sunday morning. Check the calendar for details.

  • Route 56 (5th & 6th) meets twice a month in the Youth Room from 1-3pm on Sundays.
  • The Path (7th & 8th) meets in the youth room from 4-6pm on Sundays
  • Oasis (Senior High) meets in the youth room from 7-9pm on Sundays and occasionally on Saturdays for brunch at 11am.

Youth Events and topic-specific seminars, service opportunities and retreats are scheduled throughout the year.
